Poor Signals

My signal strength is abysmal, 0 - 1 bars nearly everywhere. It's and exception to have 2 - 3 bars. This was introduced with the latest droid OS update. My local Verizon rep looked at this (I had only 1-2 bars at the store) and he recommended I post this issue requesting an ETA on a fix for this.

Yep, that's the Fascinate for ya. I was downloading an update from the Market this AM and I had 1 to 2 bars and the 3G icon, but I got the message Network Connection Failure with a Retry button.

I have similar issues with the 3g disappearing when clearly I should have at least 3 bars
