No service all of a sudden Need help ASAP

Today while I was on the phone (Verizon Razzle) my call was dropped. Since then I have had no service. I will randomly receive text messages but I cannot send any messages. If I try to pick up a call it is immediately dropped. I have been at the same location all day and it happened randomly. Other verizon phones on the same plan and in the same location are having no problems. Any suggestions? I cannot dial *228 because I have no service, I have already tried that. No ability to call or text anyone.

Can you drive a couple miles and use the phone???? If so, it is most likely a tower issue.

I know how essential a working cell phone is to me. I can imagine how you felt when you were no longer able to make/receive calls. I'm wondering if you are still having problems with your Razzle.

I find it odd that other phones on the same plan in the same area are not having problems. If that's the case, then we would want to check your phone specifically.

I understand you weren't able to dial *228, however did you try to remove the battery and place it back in the phone to see if you could get service again.

Please advise if you are still having problems.

Service finally came back but this is not the first time I have had this issue. I know it is specifically my phone because whether I move locations doesn't matter and other phones with the same plan have no issues. Is there any way to stop this from happening again?
