After update, no data connection even when it says I have 3g

After the update on HTC Thunderbolt I have no connection to the internet, I can tell this is already a problem on the forums, I have no 4g in my area, I already tried calling those numbers and I'm planning on going to the store this weekend, any advice?

I also have this problem.. And when I get Internet to come back it is 1x

Had the same problem, and a few others. After a few phone calls Verizon agreed to buy back my TB (for $94/trade in value) and let me purchase a new iPhone 4 16gb for $150. Hopefully Apple puts out a better product.

Didn't have that problem after update on Oct 26,2011 but didn't use phone untill I shutdown and rebooted. Has been working fine untill last week couldn't get anything but 1x. Shutdown phone and pulled battery,sim card and sd card and waited for about a minute. Put everything back and rebooted have not that problem going on a week now.
