LG Cosmos randomly turns off and on

I've had this phone for about 6 months and it just recently started to randomly turn off and on. No matter what button I press as soon as I press it, it will turn off and after a little while it will turn back on by itself. When I purposely turn it off, it will turn back on. I have no idea what is going on. I have no insurance on it but if i bring it to verizon will they be able to fix it or maybe give me the same phone but new or am I better off just buying a phone off of ebay or craigslist.

If my phone shut off randomly, I would be very annoyed. Do you know what software version you have? The phone resetting or power cycling was a known issue; however, the software version VN250V04 has resolved this issue. If you have versions VN250V02 or VN250V03, this may be why you are experiencing this. To check your software version, please follow the steps below:

From the main screen, press Menu
Scroll to Settings & Tools, press OK
Scroll to Phone Info, press OK
Scroll to SW / HW Version, press OK

If your LG Cosmos does need to be flashed to version VN250V04, you can take it into the nearest store location that can flash devices. To find a store near you, please view this store locator link .

I can't even do that, I tried and it said network error. Now it won't even let me get to that option again.
