LG Cosmos TXT MSG Problems!

Just got this phone and am totally confused about the text messaging. Here are the problems:

1. I will be txting 2 people. I'm typing a reply to one person. A txt msg from the 2nd person pops up. I hit VIEW LATER and finish my txt to the first person and hit send. But, instead of it going to that person, it is sent to the 2nd person who txtd me.

2. I can't find the history of my conversations with people. It seems as if msg's are randomly deleted--either my txts or the senders txts.

3. I will be viewing a conversation from me and one person and then msgs from other people (even twitter msgs) appear in that conversation.

These things are really frustrating and I am probably going to return this phone if I can't get these issues resolved. Any help would be appreciated!

So sorry you are experiencing these problems with your LG Cosmos, and would be more than happy to assist!

Couple of questions first. Which model Cosmos do you have? Can you tell me which software version your phone has? You can check the software version number by following these steps:

From the main screen, press Menu.

Scroll to Settings & Tools, press OK

Scroll to Phone Info, press OK.

Scroll to SW/HW Version, press OK.

Let me know what you find so I can further assist.

I am having the same issue with the phone getting text messages from other contacts displayed in a different person text thread.

Hi sberry22! I can see why you would be looking to get this resolved! I'm here to help. I have not been able to duplicate this with a LG Cosmos. Based on the software version you've listed, it looks to me like you have a Cosmos Touch. I hope that is the case because I am wondering if you have your phone set up for special features like a signature in messaging. Can you tell me if your phone is set up for the following:

1. How is your Messages View setting calibrated? – Does it sort by Time of delivery or by Contact name?

2. Do you have a Call back # set to On or Off?

3. Do you have an auto-signature on your messages?
