Display brightness software glitch on the Samsung Intensity

I discovered a somewhat annoying software gl﻿﻿itch on my Samsung Intensity.  When you increase the backlight brightness and set it, then decrease it, the backlight duration changes to 7 seconds by itself.  It does not change the duration setting when you increase the brightness and set it.  Please fix this glitch in the software update.

I can certainly understand how this glitch can be frustrating for you.  I did some research in the resources that I have and this is not a reported issue.  Can you please tell me what software version you are running?

You can find that by following these steps:

From the main screen, press Menu.
Scroll to Settings & Tools, press OK
Scroll to Phone Info, press OK.
Scroll to SW/HW Version, press OK.
