LG Cosmos Power Cycle

I have an LG Cosmos and for some reason, when I turn it on, it continually power cycles; meaning that it powers up to the second verizon screen and then reboots. It does this constantly. Any help?

Well, if it won't even power on all the way, there isn't much troubleshooting anyone can do without the phone in hand. How old is the phone? If it is still in the one year manufacturer's warranty period, a replacement device may be your only option.

Hmmm, try removing the battery for a few minutes, then reinserting it and try powering up again? If it continues, I'd take it to a store with a tech and see if they can troubleshoot it for you.

I have tried that...multiple times. I was hoping to not have to take it to a store.

I am not sure if it is still in warranty or not. There is more to this story. It is on my father in law's plan and has a number attached to it. I currently am on my brother in laws plan as an admin and have a black berry. I want to get out of the data contract and just use a simple phone. just want to call and text. need to trim the 30 dollar extra expense.

that is probably a question for a different post though. my gut tells me i am going to have to go to a store. just wanted this to happen a little faster and its not.
