Samsung Alias 2

So, I went to look at my phone after not using it for atleast 6+ hours (it was plugged in). When I looked at it the front of the phone said “Connect Failed.” I opened it up and it was in Music Sync mode. Concerned someone else may have tried to connect to my phone? Any thoughts?

Did anyone else have access to the phone while it was plugged in? Was it plugged in to your computer via USB or was it on a wall charger?

I would just cancel out of the Music Sync mode and not worry too much about it...check your music files and if they seem fine, chalk it up to an inadvertent button press.

Some of the phones can be set up to take one of several different actions when connected to a computer. I think your Alias 2 is set to Media Sync Mode. From the Alias2 manual:

• Media Sync Mode: When the USB data cable is connected, your device is ready to sync media like music, pictures, and videos from your PC to the microSD memory card inserted in your phone. Note: Media Sync Mode will not appear as an option if you do not have a memory card inserted in your phone's microSD card slot.

•Modem Mode: Allows the use of the Verizon Wireless Mobile Office kit to utilize your handset as a modem for your computer. This may require additional service activation available through Verizon Wireless.

•Ask On Plug: You will be asked to select the USB mode each time the USB data cable is connected from your phone to the USB port of your computer.

You may select the function you would like to enable when the USB data cable is connected from your computer to your phone.

1. Open the flip in portrait mode and press OK/MENU. Press the Directional key to highlight the Settings & Tools menu and press OK .
2. Press USB Mode.

Thanks for the replies.

No one had access to the phone when it was plugged in and it was plugged into the wall not my computer. I actually don't have an music files on the phone and nothing seems to have been changed.

Thank you to the community members for your input. I would not be concerned about someone accessing your phone remotely. This is not possible when the phone is plugged into the wall for charging. Hopefully this resolves your concerns.
