Swype keep guessing wrong

Hi,

I just upgraded to a droid x2 from my droid original and couldn't wait to use swype.  The problem I am having is that swype keeps guessing at words instead of type the letters I am choosing.  How can i get it to stop using the dictionary altogether and just display what i type?

Are you "swiping" (dragging) your finger on Swype or are you using the Swype keyboard to type letter by letter?

If you're swiping then it has to use a dictionary -- it can't work without one, since your finger drags cover many different letters besides the ones you intend. 

If you're typing letter by letter -- like on a regular keyboard -- why use Swype at all?  The stock/standard keyboard works better for regular letter-by-letter typing.
