I've had data drops since I got this phone. It's not market specific, since I've been in other regions than my hometown Little Rock, AR.
Same goes with Philly and Memphis.
I'm not seeing a fix here. Maybe 1 in 10 calls also get a weird "pop" when I hit the volume keys and then weird static sounds, or taking the phone out of screen sleep when the screen dims. Loud pop, and 100% provide charger on AC and 100% a VZ car charger.
I've been holding on, hoping that when we went to 4G LTE that things would change or that we would get an update. Nope. It's all the same, even after many reboots.
Just talked to CS tonight instead of inside contacts, and they want to do network testing with me while I'm not on this phone. Well it's my primary house phone, so will have to attempt this when I'm back at work a week or so from now.
4G hasn't helped, and I'm really at a loss, literally. I wish there was a new update for the phone for the data cut outs. I called and requested my ETF amount. I'm about to pull the trigger on switching and taking the loss. I'm old Alltel, and have been with VZ for a long time. Sucks that they can't recommend anything while I'm actually using the the phone. We will probably go phone shopping this weekend on other carriers. VZ has been great, but I paid $300 for this phone, and it's been interesting on the usability to the point of I don't like the results. CSR had no other reccomendations other than call back when you are not on the phone.
Really? I see all these posts with the same thing here. Did I miss some sort of fix for this phone? All of my other phones were flawless on 3G, even my Droid X which I'm sorry I sold. CSR said the Droid X was probably the number problematic on their calls. Interesting.
Thanks for listening to my story, yay, I'm stuck with an on contract $300 phone.... ugh.
