Problems With Syncing HTC Incredible 2

I removed songs I had synced to my phone with HTC sync. While trying to reinstall music, it will not let me sync again.  I get a message on the phone that the sd card is being prepared, then it says I can "sync now", but then nothing happens, and it says the same thing again and again.  On the computer I also get the sync now light.  I do have my phone set to use HTC sync.

 

Please help.

A few questions to determine the correct fix for this, are you able to access any media files (pictures, songs or videos) currently stored on the SD card while inserted in your Incredible?  Have you tried syncing any other media files from your computer to your Incredible via HTC Sync, and if so, what were the results?  If the problem persists, you may want to transfer the media on your card to your computer using a memory card reader or the SD card slot on your computer.  Then you would need to format the memory card in the Incredible, which reformats the card and erases all data.  Last, just sync your media files back to the card using HTC Sync.
