Ever since ics upgrade i lose signal and 4g

I upgraded to Ics and now i lose 4g frequently sometimes losing signal altogether . Has anyone else had this since upgrade . I already cleared out caches and have to restart phone just to get signal at times . This is not a tower problem cause i live in jersey and travel to ny everyday and it happens here and there no area is safe. Whats up verizon. also my contacts act funny you hit one name and another dials also heat from phone and bat problems all since update.

Yeah having same exact problems try'ed a bunch of possible solutions and nothings working. I know there's bugs because it is new and all but connection wise its frustrating

Yep i have the same problem and this afternoon i was on the phone with Verizon teck support about 30 minutes while he tryed to tell me i couldn't go by the signal bars on the phone or the DBM signal of the phone even though it is lower now than before the up date to ICS that the phone was still getting the same signal but just now showing it.

Unfortunately, I've lost 4G on my Motorola Razr Maxx with both GB and ICS. I have not lost 4G on my LG Spectrum, which currently only has GB. This could be a pain, a BIG pain, but 4G only comes into play when you are down/uploading or surfing the net. Why this has been happening with the Razr, not even a Verizon specialist can tell me. Is there a fix? I doubt it, currently neither Motorola nor Verizon see it as a problem. Maybe, if enough screaming is done they will, and try to fix it.

Fix it ! Fix it! That is the Berries Mortb.. About as bad living only a Few Miles from and still Only Getting 3G Yuk.!

I did have just about every 4G issue in the book + some new ones, but 4.0.4 seems to have fixed them for me and I use alot of data. (just used 25GB in a week alot)

You may just need a new razr.

OP: Did you have a lot of app's when you did the update, becuase this big of an update can mess up when it has to bring so much over.

Talking to a Verizon associate, my Razr Maxx is not the only one dropping 4G and then having it come back on again. I don't believe it is connected to ICS (since this has happened with GB) and I don't believe it is my personal phone. I believe that there is something in the phone itself (possibly connected to the OS) which is causing this off again - on again event. As for a lot of apps, what do you call a lot of apps? Not counting the bloatware, I probably have about 40 apps (or less). Scanning the forum, the losing of the 4G really appears to be a Motorola Droid problem, which, as I said, they do not see as a problem.

I am so disppointed with this ICS upgrade. It brings dark flashbacks when I had my Galaxy nexxus. That was another catastrophe of a phone. ICS just destroyed the signal on the Maxx, and by the time an update comes out to fix it, most of our contracts will have been up and it will be time for an upgrade to a newer phone and another headache. ( look how long we waited for this update) So, it looks like we have to live with the weak signal, disconnect, etc......I don't care about having an international phone Verizon, I care about having a phone that works properly with a reliable signal. This is getting real old.
