I just recently made a switch thinking I was going to save myself a little money each month, Here is what I had and what I went to:
PREVIOUS PLAN/EQUIPMENT:
Droid 2 - Unlimited talk/data
LG-VL-600 - Broadband card - 80G/month
REPLACED WITH:
Droid Razor - Unlimited talk/data and Mobile Hotspot
Dropped the broadband card and decided to use razor as my internet connection
Here is my new set of Issues, which I should have known better, everytime I make a change with Verizon, a new set of problems arise that I either just have to get used to or end up not using features that I am locked into for 2 years.....
The 4G on the phone itself does not seem ANY faster than the 3G from my old Droid 2. My broadband card was extremely fast when connected to 4G. Now sitting at the same desk in the same town, as when I used my broadband card, the Razor flutters back and forth between 3G and 4G and after initiating the Mobile Hotspot, after about 5 minutes my razor kicks my laptop off the network and then spends 2-3 minutes trying to regain the connection. Once it regains the connection, it is fine for about another 5 minutes and then does it all over again. I fired up my desktop to try that and it is doing the same thing. Is there some setting I can go change? It seems as though the problem lies in the phone, not the coverage from Verizon and not the distance between the mobile hotspot (razor) and the computer. They are right next to each other. I never had a problem with the LG broadband card. The pantech was a paperweight!! That POS NEVER worked!! But the LG was great, Thinking I should go back to that... Unless someone can help me figure out this out. Not worth the money at all!! And of course if you miss Verizons 14 day return by 20 seconds, your stuck with there junk for 2 years.... so I need to get this figured out quickly, cause Verizon apparently does not understand what it means to work on the road, needing to have a solid internet connection, and sometimes 14 days is not enough time to get back to civilization to address the many problems I have had with there service and equipment over the years..... I want my bag phone back!!!!
