Does anyone else have this issue with the razr maxx: go into settings, tap System Updates, message come back"Check for update is not available at this time. Try again later"
Thanks
I had this happen to my old Droid2 phone. If you call Verizon customer support they will walk you through stopping all related processes and clearing history/data etc (i.e. not a factory reset). You will then need to sign into your account on backup assistant and it should sync. Then your OTA updates should work as well. Not sure why these would be related, but it worked on my old phone. Hope this helps.
I just get the "your device is up to date" message. Make sure you have a data connection. Did you setup your device or did the store? As a side note I was hoping the ICS update would come out soon as my company will not allow me to sync with exchange until I have ICS. :smileysad:
When they have an update, they will let you know. Trust Me.
Sure they will....my Razr tried to download the system update for three days before the boys at the store had to wipe my phone for whatever the latest system upgrade is to take.
I set it up and it at least checked for updates until about two weeks ago
Dogando did you read my Post! an Look on the Verizon Site it Says UPDATE COMING SOON that doe's not mean it will be here today but sometime this Weak or Next Week!!! just be patient it'll will get here soon.. b33
Dogando,
Mine (Razr Maxx) has been doing that for weeks...it is not because an update isn't available. If that were the case, you'd get "your phone is up to date." It has to be a network connection or a glitch in the phone causing it not to communicate w/ the server. Mine comes up so fast it's as if it doesn't have a connection at all to verify whether Update is available or not. I've been investigating and have seen some people saying "Do a factory reset"...not my preferred choice but it may be the only option.
thanks jdan. I stopped all processes running on the phone accept the touch input and restarted. Went to system updates and it found the latest update and installed.
