Misleading Promotion

I was reently foreced to upgrade from my Droid X following installation of ice cream sandwhich. All kinds of data problelms. So I agreed to get a early upgrade to the RAZR and go for the 4 G. The phone was much more complicated but seems to be a good unit......until you notice the battery drain. The phone would barely last 1/2 day even with more apps powered down and minimal talk time. Far worse than the Droid X. I then learned that his was a common complaint with the RAZR and I was offered the RAZR MAXX.....for twice the price. All I can suggest is that unless you are willing to pay $300 for the RAZR MAXX, stay with your current phone.....The regular RAZR wil be very frustrating especially since you cannot change the battery

ics was never meant for the dx, you're luck they accomadated you with the upgrade if you weren't eligible.

you speak of apps powered down but you don't say how much activity, what's being updated constantly or what you're really doing with the phone.

what's minimal talk time?? no texting or email or talking while using internet on a 4g phone

you had 14 days to return the phone, less the stocking fee, you didn't do it.

Oh, but I did return it within the 14 days. My point is this: the Droid X , which I was using, could handle a full day of phone calls and texts.It just became corrupted when I was upgrade to ICE CREAM SANDWHICH. The The RAZR cannot with the same usage pattern. No games, no movies, no Pandora. I had a reasonable expectation that the RAZR would samehave a similar battery life, just faster on 4G. The fact that i cannot replace or upgrade the battery makes the phone unreliable business functions unless I am constantly recharging it. If I wanted the RAZR to be functional, I had to get the MAXX at twice the price. While the MAXX . promotes its talk time.....no where in the RAZR literature is the battery life or talk time discussed!

Did the Droid X ever receive the OFFICIAL ICS from VZW or did you decide to try your hand at updating it?

you do realize there are other websites if you have an availible upgrade to buy verizon phones at a discount right? and they are new.

wirefly and tigerdirect have the RAZR MAXX for $229 with upgrade.

thats better then $259 with an upgrade on this site.

Based on your posts and your signature, I am very curious how you wound up with the world's only 4G DX with Ice Cream Sandwich...

Anyways, I'm not sure whats "misleading" about VZW selling you a phone, you not liking it, and then VZW letting you return it...seems pretty straight forward to me but maybe I am missing something?

congrats on the new phone...I hope you read and understood Tiger's fine print regarding their terms and conditions which are in addition to VZW's....

I'm missing the part where there's a misleading promotion? Was there something that said the Razr was going to get the battery life of a Maxx or that you would be happy with the battery life no matter what?

I have the Razr, non-Maxx, and also use Juice Defender to help with battery life. I have no complaints about my battery life. I routinely go 12-18 hrs with moderate use.

Anyways, VZW has not lost any of their customer base. New signups well outnumber the .84% churn rate. Lowest in the industry
