Can't connect to my home wifi

Just switched to Verizon from AT&T, and I am having some problems.

I am trying to access my home wifi, and my Razr maxx won't connect! I am able to connect with my other devices without any problems. Here's what happens when I try to connect:

It says "Obtaining IP address..."

Then, after a while, it says:

"Remembered, secured with WPA/WPA2PSK"

almost immediately after, it says:

"Disabled,secured with WPA/WPA2PSK"

Then the phone scans for available networks, and tells me that Wi-Fi networks are available!

I have all the settings set up according to all the other posts here... Wi-Fi on, CDMA/LTE enabled, Wi-Fi checked, Notify Me checked, Open Network checked, Secure network checked...

What am I missing/doing wrong????

If it's a SECURE connection, you must enter your Router-assigned Password the 1st time you connect. If you did that once and entered it incorrectly, I believe it stores that bad password. That's maybe what you're seeing.

What you have to do is click on "FORGET" and then rescan WiFi access points and CONNECT to it again - it SHOULD pop up a box prompting for the password.

I have my router page up on my desktop, and re-tried entering the password to no avail... It DOES pop up a box prompting for the password, but the same thing I originally posted happens :smileysad:. If the wrong password is entered, "Obtaining IP address..." doesn't show.

Any more ideas?

I've had that issue ever since I had my Droid X when Gingerbread updated to version 2.3. Even when I got the Razr the issue persisted. My wife had a Galaxy Nexus for awhile running ICS and it would'nt coonect either...neither does her new Razr Maxx on 2.3, I could never get anytwhere with Verizon or Motorola on resolving this issue other than something was up with my router. I don't accept that since EVERYTHING else I own, my Blue Ray player, Laptop, XBox360, etc connect and work just fine. I've tried using WEP and WPA both on my router and equipment and the only way that I have ever gotten the phone to connect is to drop the security and run the network "open" which I refuse to do. I've tried doing resets...still no connection. None of the newer versions of Gingerbread or ICS have worked out of the box.

It has to be something with how Android connects wirelessly through the network that changed.- my router is fine.

It might be you have to many things Connected to It. Power off your other Equipment an then try to Connect the Razr and Razr Maxx. And sometimes Routers Need to Be Updated.!

What kind of wifi device are you trying to connect to? As I asked the other person, is MAC filtering turned on for some reason?

Thanks everyone. It decided to connect this evening, for no apparent reason... I didn't make any changes to the phone or router, so I don't know what was going on, and I'm sure not going to change anything now! lol
