Why can't the people I call hear me?

I have removed the battery and the sim card, waited and reinstalled them. I have checked everything I can think of. I have powered completely off and back on again.

When I make a call, I can hear them, but they can't hear me. This has just started. No changed to phone apps that I am aware of.

Any suggestions?
