Voice Message Indication

My phone keeps on showing that I have a voice message. I go to mretrieve my voice message abd there is no message, yet the indicator on my phone still shows that I have a message. How can I clear this? I have already shut my phone down, removed the battery and restarted my phone but the message comes right back...

Touch Menu

Select Settings

Select Call

Select Clear voicemail notification (if this is not "grayed" out)
