slide lock disappeared on my scree

i got this phone from a friend     works great    i think its a droid one.   the only roblem ive had is the slide lock disappeared.   i went in to set a pattern and the pattern doesnt show either   can someone help me and guide me in the right direction.   i really dont want to go to a store and deal with them.

Hiya angel621! I do hope that you enjoy your Droid! I'm glad to see that it is working well for you. Accessing and setting the pattern lock on the original Droid can be done like so: Go to Menu> Settings> Location & security> Set up screen lock> Pattern. You will then be walked through the steps of creating your personalized pattern. Please keep a mental record of the pattern you create!
