Can someone clear up when ICS will be released?

I've heard that ICS will be pushed to most people tomorrow 6/27, or by 6/29. Then there are other people saying it could take up to 3 weeks for everyone to get the update.

I really just want to get ICS before July 4th, so that I can take a video, and pictures at the same time while fireworks are being shot off Smiley Happy

Basically it wil be released in waves/groups of users - I think they base it either on your MEID as well/or Region of the country. It's a pretty big update so they won't just release it to the masses on all once. You just need to be patient and think positive. Yes, history as its guide, it can take several weeks to hit everyone .. Not much you can do about that, except allow yourself to get frustrated. Hang in there.

Like all other updates it will get to u based on the build date of phone. By the way I am waiting too!!!

Well, how can we tell if our build date is one of the earlier ones or later ones? My build date says March 8th 2012. I'm guessing it's one of the later ones.

Where do I find the MEID? I looked in about Phone and system status and can't seem to find it.

Cody how do you know it's by MEID/Build Date? Is it then oldest to newest or newest to oldest?

Hey Cody on mine went in to that Area on my Maxx all i can See is the IMEI i'm not Seeing the MEID unless it's listed with Something Else..

I agree I couldn't get a hold of verizon because of fires in Colorado, I live in California.

I was just on Moto's website and saw that ICS is still in testing. It says "Phased rollout to select users now underway as part of standard upgrade process." https://forums.motorola.com/pages/00add97d6c What does "select users" mean? Is that the soak group?

Does anyone know how to become part of the "soak group"?

It Was released as far as i know to the General Public on June 22 and in small Bunch an today it's was to roll out More so it could get to you by the end of the Day or by Friday or sometime early next Week)) b33

According to Moto blogs, it has not been released to the general public. It is only being release in batches to select groups. Select groups is not the same thing as the general public. They are also saying that the when it is made available to you, you will get it through a "push" and you will not be able to force a "pull". So going into the phone hitting "system updates" over and over again is only going to drive you nuts!

Tapping the check for updates just initiates the automatic process, that's how I saw that it was available for my Razr yesterday.

You'll get it relax. They don't want to DDOS themselves pushing everything all at once.

I can understand that for the cell-network, but they should look into following the GNU method of distribution using torrenting software and forcing the first week of updates to be performed on WIFI.
