Cannot get OTA update

I have been trying to get any update for my TB since early november. I'm still at 2.2.1 and have not been able to receive any updates. On choosing check status, I have everything blank except Source: Verizon Wireless. All of the other options are blank. When I try to get the update, it says it is checking for a new update, and then just force closes itself. How can I get my phone to update?

You might have to do a factory reset and then try to do the update.

I have tried that three times prior to posting this, and it does not correct the problem.

Have you ever been successful in getting OTA updates? When did you get the phone?
