I noticed recently that my quantity of usage has increased dramatically. In going back through the data usage log, I see large data amounts around 12:42, 12:43, 12:44 a.m. I checked one laptop that had automatically Windows update during that time frame, so I disabled it a week ago, but still the usage continues. I have disabled all automatic updates for any programs from both desktop and 2 laptops. Every night around 10:00 one laptop is turned off, and about every other night the other laptop is turned off. So that points me to my desktop, but it has nothing that I can find that would be using this data. Our normal data for the entire month is around 2 GB. Right now I've used 2.5 GB in 1/2 month.
We rarely view videos (once or twice a month, 4 minutes or so), do not use MySpace, etc., do not upload movies or music, so I'm lost as to how to determine the problem. I'm hooking up another desktop, but would like to resolve this problem first. Is there any way to determine from the logs which computer is contributing to this large usage. The amount of data usage at this time period is from 95 GB to 300 GB every day.
Thanks
