Does this small download just pop up or do you manually check for software updates. Get back to me im excited.

Just got off the phone with Verizon Wireless for the 3rd time today. They confirmed that it's rolling out---but said it could take 1-2 months for everyone to get it. Oh...and there's no way to pull it to your phone-----or so he says.
Anyone know of a way to do so?
off the phone with them? Heck, I went down there today. And they had no clue that there was any update pending, so from what I've seen, I call BS. Back there 2maro to talk with the mgr who sold me the phone 2.5 months ago as being "global soon".
I get to a point where I don't care anymore, and the principle matters. This is looking line one of those times. Even if there really is an OTA now, they missed their commitments to me.
Agreed. But I still want the update. Lesson learned: Don't buy a phone that has any undelivered promises attached.

How are you going to know if it is undelivered? There were no promises made from what I seen other than it was coming and the date was subject to change from the people who made the phone.

It'll come because some people will try and use this as leverage to try and get a new device since the "update isn't coming" is now a moot argument. Some will have legitimate problems a factory reset would more than likely fix, and if not a replacement should. If it continues there is a probable high chance an app they are using is causing the issue. Probably going to stay off the forums for a few days while it heats up.

Not necessarily, that page may not update for a week. I think they wait until a fair amount of users have the update before changing the support page.

go to your settings and look for "about phone" or "software" (or something along those lines) and select check for updates. they usually push these updates in batches so don't be surprised if many of you don't see it for a week or so.
Much to my surprise, I was just upgraded to ICS. Downloaded from Pasadena, CA. Installed and not having any problems, just a slight learning curve.
I pulled the file from software update.
Downloading ICS update in Denver, CO today. Had to manually go to software update to start update.
how long did it take? mine has been downloading over an hr now
I downloaded my update today also, after tweeting how I complained to the FCC about how I was misinformed and lied to about when the update was suppose to come out (when I originally bought my phone). The update didn't take my long to do. And I haven't had any glitches so far with ICS on my Rezound! Its much more smoother than Gingerbread!

It took less than a half-hour to download on WiFi. It failed to complete the update the first time. I did a factory reset and then the update went smoothly and the Rezound likes ICS. You will have to do a little searching and fussing to find all of the settings you want, but it seems logical after you find them.
I must have missed something because my phone doesnt show there is an update....
You need to go to the check update on your phone to get it.
I've been checking it everyday. One problem I've had with my phone since I've gotten it was.... after my phone checks for an update, its does not tell that it is update to or that an update is available. It never have. My phone always worked fine so i never did a hard reset to see if this fixed the problem. I was hoping when the OTA was pushed it would correct it but it didnt. I call VZW today and they are shipping me a phone because its not recognizing the update. Thanks though.
