SMS error: general problems: cause code 65535

All of a sudden cannot send text messages to *anyone* in my contacts list - message attempts to send but inevitably errors with the above error message. Google searches have turned up issues with Facebook integration and a "+1" being added to the number. I have checked all of this and it *appears* to be fine.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated. I am beyond frustrated...

bsetzer, did you ever solve this issue with the 65535 sms error?

I also found the Facebook and +1 threads and confirmed neither of them are true for me. Additionally, I did a restart with a battery pull in the middle, to no avail.

Let's try some troubleshooting with your device to see if we can get rid of this error for you. For the numbers giving you the issue with the "1", please delete the entire message thread. Please check the option to delete "locked" messages as well. Then, please try it again and let me know how that works for you.
