Droid X Upgrade from Droid

So I just got the Motorola Droid about 2 weeks ago, and I've been hearing that if I purchased the Droid within 30 days of the release date of the Droid X, I can upgrade to the Droid X simply by paying the difference between the price of the phones...

is this true?? Anyone know?

A restocking fee of $35 applies to all wireless device exchanges (excluding Hawaii).
