Droid Pro keeps saying "Welcome to Verizon Wireless"

I'm new to Droids, so maybe the solution is obvious:  Frequently,  when I am playing "Words with Friends," I will hear "Welcome to Verizon Wireless," again and again.  I don't know where it's coming from,or how to get it to stop.  If I power off for a few minutes, most of the time that will make it stop, but not always.  Does anyone know what app is making this happen?   I've been keeping the media volume on the lowest setting, but I can still hear her greeting!

Romalo21, welcome to the family of droids! The droid OS is a great system to use on the phone. Where are you located when you hear the notification? Generally, the "Welcome to Verizon" notification happens when you leave the Verizon Wireless network to roam and then when you come back into our network you are greeted with that notification.

The notification your are hearing can be adjusted with these simple settings:

Roamng Tone
From the main screen, touch the menu tab
Touch Settings
Touch Sound
Touch Roming Tone to check or uncheck

Network Lost Tone
From the main screen, touch the menu tab
Touch Settings
Touch Sound
Touch Network Lost Tone to check or uncheck
