Look, China is getting the HTC Titan. Pretty sad that China gets a high end Windows Phone before Verizon does!

Find it funny... It's on PREORDER... Means it is not even out yet. Verizon is waiting for Windows 8 and true LTE support instead of a patch... Maybe then there will be better devices coming out. We been through this more than a handful of times.
Verizon can't take Mango or Tango for LTE, its a technical reason, and they will not take non-LTE phones.
When you are done doing the math, that puts new phones out till Apollo.
I don't know what you mean by "true LTE" support. The Titan 2 and Nokia 900 are both full LTE coming out this month. Not HSPA+, which I know CDMA doesn't have. It's a patch in the OS that adds the LTE support, and it works.
There could very well be a technical issue with having LTE and a CDMA radio in WP7. A handoff problem within the OS, but that hasn't been posted anywhere.
It has already been know it's a patched support and not full actual support for LTE. When the next major release it will have true full 100% support, and that's when Verizon will more than likely look at Windows Phones. Until then Verizon will not look at them as they want 100% full support and not a patchwork job.
I follow Windows Phone news quite closely, and I have NEVER antyhing saying it's not true LTE support. Please show me where you saw this?
Of course not... That's the problem... How often are they going to say something like that or even a "fan site" saying something when most of the writers have little to no coding experience.
Then I can't agree with you, if you have no proof. There could still be a CDMA/LTE incompatabilty, I will give you that, but saying the Titan 2 and 900 aren't going to be real LTE devices, I am not going to go along with.
The difference is in the implementation that the carriers do.
LTE is a broad term, each carrier has different implementations.
One of verizons requirements is not met in either of the upcoming releases, and will not be met till Apollo.
So? AT&T and Rogers have LTE Windows Phones.
What is this "full support"?
http://www.networkworld.com/news/2009/061009-verizon-lte-ipv6.html
Actually, this is more about what Verizon wants.
IPv6 is not required for LTE.
Also, I doubt any phone has "full support" of 3GPP's standard of LTE release 8.
As seen above one of the requirements...
Windows Phone 7, and 7.5 DO NOT support IPv6. Apollo WILL
http://www.nokiaphones.net/apollo-will-bring-ipv6-support-for-nokia-windows-phone-handsets/
http://wp7lab.com/news/ipv6-support-coming-with-windows-phone-8/
Now here's a site that makes claims WP7.5 does, BUT
http://wmpoweruser.com/mango-does-support-ipv6-after-all/
As I said patchwork job and it is NOT native. You can make apps that'll do IPv6, BUT Windows Phone 7.5 won't do it NATIVELY as requested from Verizon.
Now here's something that debunks wmpowerusers "does support" claim.
You would think Microsoft would be out in the open about Native IPv6 support. Android, and iPhone are in the open about the support. It is FULLY supported. MS from what's new for Mango has no mention of IPv6 support... as seen here from Microsoft site.
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsphone/en-us/howto/wp7/start/whats-new-in-windows-phone.aspx
Now everyone KNOWS WP7 does not support IPv6. If it was included then why does it not state so in the What's new for Mango? Why hide the fact it does when their competitors flat out say they support it?
Now as you can see the "rumors" like many have suggested Windows 8 is supposed to FILL the gap, and that's when I suspect new WP coming to Verizon IF MS puts the requirements for their LTE network.
Just because some other LTE device is out running IPv4 doesn't mean Verizon will retract their requirement when people have already complied with updates to support IPv6 for their LTE network. IPv6 is the future and doing it now vs. later will save time and headaches.
Are you talking about LTE to CDMA handover (for data)? eHRPD?
Verizon fanboy spin at the worst (along with your replies to defend the stance in this thread).
Verizon is anti-consumer and doesn't care much about anything except you paying them. They don't equate PHONE to PAYMENT see getting iPhone almost 5 years after AT&T.
I'd expect them to release the Lumia 7xx format LTE device this summer then an WP8 Apollo phone later this year (just before xmas) going by their typical schedule. Also iPhone 5 will get heavy promotion so WP promotion from Verizon is a year away. They'll also let Nokia/MS promote WP more and await WP8 (shipping on 90+% of PCs sold worldwide later this year. That is the Verizon way. They can prove me wrong but don't hold your breath.
I just wanted to sling some mud @ MS for its role in this debacle.
Still no multi core support, no LTE, MS has taken the Apple approach of old hardware.

There is some good within it. "Timely" updates as people think updates should be. It's easier to tailor to a small number of devices than a plethora of devices.
anybody who faults MS for not having multi-core support needs to check themselves. WP is buttery smooth at what it does w/ a single, lower-power core. Stop spec-warring and start USE-warring. Smoked By Windows Phone proves that all the power in a phone is crap without a usable, efficient OS.
It always had to be something. They say the same thing about the iPhone having old technology. People get caught up in the numbers.
ironic... The guy who is trying to get Verizon to bring in more Windows Phones devices soon is getting flamed... Feel sorry for that guy...

thanks. i did. on day 1.
I guess all the Android users care about is how many cores their phones have.
I can tell you that there are more to phones than that and the HTC Trophy is lacking in many ways that doesn't have to do with the number of cores.
For example, the Trophy has 3.8 in screen which is tiny compares to 4+ in that comes with most phone today and the camera quality is mediocre.
Glad my current contract with Verizon is up for renewal.. April 8th.. time to head over to AT&T for my choice of either the Nokia 900 or HTC Titan II.. So long Verizon.
