I recently encrypted my phone to make it more secure. One thing i was not aware of is the face recognition will not work now that the phone is encrypted. Do I have any options for decryptions or factory reset? Or is it new SIM time?

A factory reset should do it (erasing all data from the phone, of course). However, the facial recognition feature this phone provides very poor security. It's a neat gimmick but it's not ready for prime time. IMHO, you're much safer not using facial recognition so you may as well just leave the encryption as-is.
