My Rezound has been trying to download a software update for the past 3 days with no progress. How do I cancel this download

If this is from the play store I have had that happen only once and what I did to correct that was from main screen click Menu | Settings goto Applications and Manage Applications then locate Google Play Store, Perform a Force Stop then clear data and then things should be back to normal.....You will need to re-accept the EULA when you go back into the Play store app.
It says " this software update includes enhancements and improvements to you HTC Rezound.
That should like a os upgrade have you tried powering down pull the battery and reboot to see if that kick starts it?
