Automatic Bluetooth on/off with Car Dock

I have the vzw cardock for the thunderbolt. The BT would turn on/off automatically when inserted/removed from the Car Dock. This functionality stopped working a few weeks ago and I have not found settings to re-enable this functionality.

Any help appreciated.

While you are in Dock Mode, press the Menu button on the bottom of the phone. You should get a Settings option show up on the side of the phone. The first item in the settings is for Auto-connect (check mark means on) and the one below that is to tell the phone your default Bluetooth device.

I only get "Display Mode" in the Settings Option when I connect to the Car Dock. There is no Auto-connect option. HOWEVER my Desktop Dock *does* have the Auto-connect option. I set it up to connect to my car stereo, but it did not enable BT when connected.

Any ideas?

Are you using a different program for either the Dock Mode or the Automatic Bleuetooth?

Thanks for your continued help.

I had the Car Mode launcher which I removed. I retested and that did not work.

So I then re-installed / retested and it still did not work.

Over the last few months I have tried different Car Apps, but have since removed them since the built in Car Panel is pretty good. Only wish I could launch Pandora from the Car Panel, but I digress.

So I removed all the other Car Apps and still no go.

I just talked to HTC and they could not find anything.. so a Factory Reset was recommended. I expect to do that tonight after I do a back up. I will post my result later.
