Import Apps from SD card

I saved all the apps I could on my SD card before deactiving my Moto X & upgrading to Moto Razor Maxx. Now, I've inserted the new SD card & it appears that there are files there, but none of them will import. What am I doing wrong? How are you supposed to be able to "reuse" your SD card in a new phone if it' won't import anything but jpeg or music files? I'm trying to avoid having to download all of my apps again...that's a painful, time consuming process.

What app did you use to export the apps?

didn't know I needed one? When I looked at the files on my SD card I saw all the icons...does that not mean they are there? what app would you suggest?

In order to backup and restore apps from the sd card you require a 3rd party app... You have a few options.

1..You can still download the apps again from Play Store by opening Market and select menu / my apps.

2. Use My Backup from Market from https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rerware.android.MyBackup&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5yZXJ3YXJlLmFuZHJvaWQuTXlCYWNrdXAiXQ..
