BA and Google sync not working (seemingly)

There are contacts on my phone that are not visible on the website after BA states it has successfully synced. Likewise there are missing contacts within my GMail account after a sync to that has completed. Should not all contacts on my phone match to my Google and VZW accounts after a sync has completed?

Contacts saved as phone contacts backup to Backup Assistant. Contact saved as Google contacts are synced with your Gmail account. The two types DO NOT overlap. It is one or the other.

Agreed. My Google contacts do sync properly - I was not looking for them in the correct location in GMail. There are contacts labelled as phone on my phone that are not listed on the web.
