Not getting service in Italy, have 4.0 on Droid Maxx.

Am I missing a setting? I have international data (at least I did on my last phone, just upgraded). When buying this phone Verizon rep said once Ice cream sandwich downloaded would be international able.

I have data roaming checked, network mode on Global. Should I use GSM instead of Global?

Any ideas, thanks!

Having same problem in London for the Olympics... Razr Maxx.. did the ICS update to 4.0.4 and no service here.. is anyone having luck getting service in Europe with this phone... If so, what settings are you using

What network are you connected to?

The Razr Maxx is currently my favorite smartphone! The battery life lasts for hours plus the data speeds on the Razr Maxx is incredibly fast! Since the software version enabled the global capabilities, the phone is even better than ever! Since you are in a GSM country then I recommend changing the device to GSM/UMTS if global mode is working for you. In global mode, the device is designed to look for a 3G network technology similar to what we use in the US, which is CDMA for 3G. If you put the device on GSM/UMTS then it will look for only those two network technologies. Here are the steps on how to change the network mode on the Droid Razr

Settings > Wireless & Networks > More > Mobile Networks > Network Mode > GSM/UMTS

After you selected this network mode, please power the device off and back on. It will take a minute or two for the device to detect the available networks in the country that you in. For example, some common cellular providers in Italy are Vodafone and TIM wireless. For AndyRead, while in London, England some of the common networks that the phone will look for are Vodafone, Orange, and/or O2. If you see either one of these provider’s name next to the signal bars then you are good to go. If not then please reply with your findings or error messages so I can continue to assist.
