BMW pairs with RAZR, but no contacts after ICS update

One of many problems since ICS update:

BMW pairs with RAZR via bluetooth, but cannot access contact list on phone. I can manually dial and connect phone calls through car.

Dialog box on Phone asks to access BMW, I press OK, same dialog box appears...repeat ad infinitum.

I have deleted phone pairing, re-paired, soft reboot, re-paired...still no contact list appears on car's communications screen.

Had no problem with car/ phone pairing prior to ICS update.

Any suggestions?

I feel like a broken record but it's helped so many bizarre issues I'll keep saying it: Try clearing the cache on the phone. In your case after doing that I'd give Beemer et.al. a ring and see if there is a firmware update for your head unit. (in the car, not on your shoulders :smileyhappy: )
To clear cache:

• Press and hold the Power button and turn the phone off.
• When the screen turns off, press and hold Volume Up/Down and Power.
• When the white HBOOT screen appears, use the volume down button to move down to “RECOVERY.”
• Press the Volume Up button to select “RECOVERY.”
• When the triangle and exclamation appears, hold the Volume Up and Power button at the same time.
• Using the volume button, scroll down to “Wipe cache partition”
• Use the Power button select it.
• After that is done select “Reboot system now.”
