Connection Error

Please tell me the meaning of this Connection Error that comes up when I try to get my email on my Droid Razr Maxx. Up until today, everything was fine.

"The following error has prevented a successful connection: Unable to connect to imap.vzw.net. [Connection timed out]"

Is there something I can personally do to correct this error or is this a Verizon wireless issue?

I have a DROID RAZOR and haven't had problems yet, but from my experience with previous smart phones and similar problems when that happens future problems are on the way. Take it in to be looked at

I hate to see everybody having this issue. Green Bay is a new market, and not all the gaps are filled in yet. My razr keeps flip flopping 4g or 3G and often can't get data. Then I took a little road trip out of Verizon area, and it said extended 3G and was solidly connected. I would blame the firmware for not handling the flip-flops in weak 4g. I bought Verizon because my Verizon iPad worked so well where I needed it.
