I just upgraded to ICS. Now I can no longer initiate a call from my wired headset when the phone is locked (password protected). It took two apps but then worked fine on Gingerbread. Can anyone help?

By the way, I think Verizon should care about this one as it is a real hazard when driving!
This might work. Go to settings > Security > and check "Allow Bluetooth Bypass"
I know you are on a wired setup, but they seem to follow the same rules when it comes to this sort of thing.
