What happens when you try and update? I had my dinc for a long time where when I'd receive the update. I'd click install, it would count down the 10 seconds or so and.....nothing, every time it would do that. I did end up finding a solution for myself in which I reboot into recovery and 'wipe cache partition'. It worked for me, may for you.

Mine does the same thing. Counts down 10 seconds, and then just stops. Eventually, I get a screen that just says, "Ok. Cancel." It's happened more times than I can count and I haven't been able to get to a Verizon store to ask them for help.
