com.vzwdmserver texts?

I recently changed my mobile number, and started to get these odd messages containing some sorta of jibberish from the number 501-519-7028. Only thing I could make out was com.vzwdmserver. I know a few people on here had issues with them a while ago, just wondering if a solution has ever been given to stop these texts?

Same problem here on a Galaxy Nexus. Same scenario, I changed my number and now I am getting the strange vzdmserver messages. Any buy-in from you, Verizon?

There was a post on one of the Droid forums about it being a SIM card problem, but I don't think that's it. Sounds like a problem after people change numbers. Verizon? Verizon?

Seems as if I get the text every hour..so, so annoying.

If your Getting them from Verizon it's because you moved to a New No. an it's kind of like a Welcome from the Company it's as if you had got a new phone. Sort of speak! Call C.S. an Request them to stop the Text Msg's b33

I didn't get one for nearly eighteen hours, but just now got another. If it is, in fact, a "welcome " from the company...ok..I get it..thanks...now stop sending them.

Likewise - same deal, just changed my # over. It's almost like they are sending WAP pushes over SMS.

I just changed my number and got text with random figures from 501-519-7028 like others have it seems. However since changing my number like 20 minutes ago, I've gotten 6 texts. One every couple of minutes. This is very aggravating.

As was mentioned Earlier in the Post when you Update to a new Verizon will send Welcome Post it can be over the Top a little but they do it to every body. Now if you was to start getting weird calls From Creditors or things in this kind of Nature as i did. I got calls from Comcast Cable wanting there Equipment back because this Gall that had there Service did not return that Equipment back..then she Dropped the Cell No. and picked up another No. from Verizon or dropped it altogether and then that No. she had was issued to Me.

An so the calls kept. coming but to Me! that was un-till i Told a Supervisor from Comcast i would Turn over the Calls to the The State Attorney General the calls Stopped for a While then there Collection Firm started the Calling an Again i told them the Same thing U don't stop the Harassment. I Will turn all things over the the State Attorney General. they got the Picture that i meant Business and i haven't had a Call from them in 6 Months.

So if you get calls like that when going to a New No. it up to you how long you want to put up with Crap like that for me it was just under a Year. An the calls did not come every Day! But i like the No. But not at that cost of Annoyment! As for No, i still do have it b33 :smileyhappy:
