Anyone know why I get an error when my WiFi tries to conect. currently it is not connected. I have WiFi setup at home and work.
What kind of Error ? 1. It could be your Router is not Up to Date. 2. Check the password you may have entered a Wrong Password. 3.You might have it on a Setting and your Device is not Recognizing it..b33

Thank you for replying. I have the screen up that lets you turn on or
disable the WiFi and when i touch the button to have a green check mark
appear it says turning on and then it goes straight to error. Any other
item that deals with WiFi is greyed out.
You might try going to Settings--> Applications--> Manage Applications--> Select All then go to Wi-Fi then tap to Go in an then Clear the Cache an then Data Then hit the home button Then Do a Soft Reset Then Give the Wi-Fi Re-Enter your info in the Wi-Fi Set up.. See if that Helps..b33

Have you tried this at a public place, like Starbucks? I'm wondering if it is a configuration problem or possibly related to an older router. I've seen problems with router that are only a couple of years old. What type of router do you have and how old is it?
First I'd make sure your router has the latest firmware update, then reset it (unplug a minute, then plug back in).
Next, go to Menu>Settings>Wireless & Network Settings>Wifi Settings long press on the network and select Forget Network. Reboot and try finding and connecting again.
Still no joy, I've also read of people having this problem who solved it by doing various things such as changing their SSID to one word, all lower case; setting their router channel to 'auto';
If you can't connect to a public network, there may be something wrong with the phone. Otherwise it's just a matter of figuring out if it's your router or something in your configuration.
2 months old. Manage networks is greyed out as well as ethernet and
ethernet settings, and open network, add WiFi and manage networks all
greyed out.
