no voice mail alerts

I can't seem to get a good answer to this problem....If someone leaves me a vmessage on my Tour, I get no alert. I have to go in a few times a day and almost always find a few (and sometimes many) new messages. Is there some setting that will announce that I have new voice messages? Have heard same complaint from other users and have had several solutions suggested and none work.

You shold get a Voice Mail message in your email lists. I do. Plus I have the free Visual Voice Mail App. which may be why I get them there. Do a search for Visual Voice mail in your browser and download it to your phone.

Thanks for the suggestion. Do you recall which one you downloaded? I googled and several came up, one on crackberry that sounded ok. I'll try them all at this point!

Go to BB app icon on your phone.There you will find under free apps YouMail Visual Voice mail. If you do not have BB app download it at BB web site.

Make sure you have the alerts on. Also on my bb when all of my icons got messed up and missing I took out the battery out for 2 minutes and then back in and it worked fine.
