How the heck can Verizon block Google Wallet? What happened to the customer being able to choose? After my contract is up I will be leaving Verizon and going to another provider that does not try and control what apps I use.

And a new discussion thread on the peer to peer customer forum is going to help how? Go read the other dozen or so threads already discussing this topic that reside in this community forum. Sprint has the exclusive for the application. Until that changes, the possibility of the application being available on the Verizon Wireless network is unlikely.
Wow how about you do some research before you spout off an answer. Also if this forum was better organized and set up I would have.

It is all Verizon's doing not some agreement with Google and Sprint.
That is the Block C settlement and isn't related to Google Wallet at all.

Sprint still advertises they have an exclusiveness to Wallet. Google isn't stopping them. When Verizon did the same thing with the Galaxy Nexus it was shut down in a short few hours.
I just had credit card fraud and would like to use Google wallet with NFC as a more secure way of making mobile transactions. I would like to have this choice with Verizon since I have four devices under contract. This makes switching carriers more difficult but, I am loosing patience with limiting my choices and the slow release of Jelly Bean operating system on Galaxy S3. I understand that ISIS is a competing standard but that should not prohibit those of us who would like to use a different system.
Good luck with that. You do as Verizon wants you to do with your (or I mean their) device not as you want to do.
I know about a week ago PayPal updated it's Android app to 3.0 which now includes NFC support. I'm not sure how supported it is. My phone doesn't have a NFC chip so I can't test it.

Google Wallet is a great APP and is available now.
I especially love the history of your purchases it keeps.
I know all the excuses, and please do not reply with more of them here, how the heck do the latest Device S3 is without Jelly Bean is beyond me.
Love the 4.2 and new camera app that comes with it. The Sphere shot is awesome too. I just wished my camera was better than 5 MP.
