Is it possible to take the Droid Charge over to the Verizon Prepaid plan? I realize this would be taking a 4G device back to a 3G network.
No, as far as I can determine none of the 4G LTE smartphones can be used on the prepaid smartphone plans offered by Verizon Wireless.
