My Samsung Droid Charge shuts off when taking picture, trying to get on the Internet and sometimes randomly with minimal use. Do I need to replace the battery?

Please try this BEFORE you do a Hard Reset. Put your phone on the charger and when the battery is charged to 90% or more, but NOT to 100%, use your phone to see if it still shuts off. By the way I do not want the battery to be at 100% because I want the charger to still be charging.
What I am trying to do is to see if your battery may be the problem.
BTW, buying a new battery is far less painful than re-building your phone after a Hard Reset. If it were my phone I would FIRST buy a new battery.
