So I went to a Verizon store yesterday to show my friends the Droid X and I said aloud how disappointed I was to not be able to preorder it. The guy at the counter said he could do a preorder for m. I gave him the last 4 of the account holder's social and my phone number. He put on the order comments "Preorder" and said they'll call me when they have mine in. Said if I don't get the call Thursday I could be in for a wait but they said that preorder should boost my chances of getting it early. Is it odd they did this for me? Only sucks I gotta wait for the mail-in-rebate.
