Blackberry Z10

I'm done with Verizon, the blame belongs with the 4 crappy carriers we have in the US. I am going to buy an unlock Z10 and will never sign another contract with Verizon or any other US carrier. They have had the phone for a long time, should of been ready. Who cares about their crappy apps and branding of the telephones. Also, very tired of the lack of support for Blackberry, it is the only phone I want.

I really do not think they would make consumers wait months considering within 5 minutes of the conclusion of the launch the Verizon website was updated to show the page that was leaked on the web....Considering BBerry's lack of marketshare in the U.S., it is not surprising they made us wait....My understanding it will be available in March which as of today is one month away...I can wait....

BB Z10 is coming march. february being a short month wont be a long wait.

I am wondering if verizon is going to give people the opportunity to order the phone in advance..

The straightest answer is Verizon Wireless will issue a press release when the phone is available for pre-order or the actual release date.

Because it's Verizon! I sent an email to the CEO regarding the availability of Z10, got a call back from someone who gave me bull about how they don't know when z10 will be available. VZW will not take responsibility for the fact that they have had bb10 since Oct! All testing should of been complete. Another thing is try to find info on the VZW.com about Z10...well hidden!

VZW needs to get all their testing done and release BB10! Also, realize not everyone is a Itoy and android fan. Try to find info on bb10 on vzw.com...it's quite a hunt!

People need to read the other forums out there for information on the Z10. Crackberry.com says the phone will be released, and because of the new OS things need to be changed within the Verizon network. This isn't your typical smart phone, it has to have certain system requirements, meaning Verizon is now in the process of updating their system to meet those requirements. And if you seriously can't wait a short month or so for the phone then that is insane. Personally I can wait a bit to make sure the system has all the bugs worked out so my phone doesn't crash! If you are a long BB user then you should know Verizon and other networks have had problems (rarely) with the system crashing. Usually its a short wait for it to be fixed. And of course they have to try and get as many apps here because we as Americans love having the newest coolest apps around, we are consumers. I personally can't wait for these new apps, because BB has been way behind in the app department and its about time someone gave Iphone and Droid a run for their money.

Can you share his e-mail address? Maybe we can all e-mail him and find out when they will be able to sell the phone. At this point the latest reports say that T-Mobile may be the first of the major carriers to sell the phone. Verizon should not let themselves get beat by T-Mobile...

T-Mobile is a GSM carrier and BlackBerry has to add the CDMA radios for voice calls o the model headed for Verizon Wireless.

Solavei has already rolled it out in the USA. They are a company that contracts with the four major networks to provide service so we know it is not a "testing" issue or else solavei would not be able to carry the phone.

It is either the carriers don't want to do it, or BB told them to wait.

I like how most of the posts are "VZW should...". Keep in mind that EVERY phone is pre-released to the carrier. This is often when you will find employees of the carrier that have them. This is for their testing purposes. Not all of the carrier networks are setup the same and each runs into their individual kinks that they must work out prior to launch. For those of you who are used to gaming, it's basically the Beta phase (Alpha phase being testing with the actual phone manufacturer). Be patient.

Either way though, you'd be complaining. You're doing it now, and you'd be doing it if they launched it while they knew they had to troubleshoot issues with their network and the phone's compatibility.

If you really think that Verizon is the only carrier that does this, you should try contacting the others.

A friend of mine works for Verizon and they had a meeting about the Z10 coming out mid March.

I hope T-Mobile will come out first now. It will help to solidify my decision to switch carriers. T-Mobile has much better data plans available than VZ. I've been with VZ for 10 yrs and if I'm going to lose my unlimited data plan when I upgrade I can't afford to stay. At least where I'm located, T-Mobile has very good coverage, so it works for me.

Ya, but I will not give up quality of coverage for data. I have been with Verizon for 13 years.

T-Mobile coverage here in the North East looks pretty saturated. And along the east coast. I'm usually never outside of this area. And if it comes down to saving 50-80/month without having to worry about addition data charges, it should work for me.

It is the MA BELL effect for those of older folks. Verizon is getting too big for their britches and do not care about those of us who pay the bills. If anyone could provide their coverage, I would take my four data lines and be gone in a minute.

Found a white unlocked Z10 on Amazon. Thinking I'm gonna buy it and activate with ATT. VzW will not activate it.

I just read an article which stated that there is a rumor that Verizon may wait and sell botht the Q10 and the Z10 together. This means that Verizon customers may be waiting until April.....

If that's true, absolutely awful! The white Z10 was $940, black $840.

I know we are are all waiting and waiting for this to hit the U.S. on Verizon, while we are waiting though, crackberry.com posted a good review on having used the device for a month now. They discuss how the device landing on Verizon will be even better than the one they originally reviewed, due to updates and what not. So it gives us in the states a little more hope while we wait...
