Cold reset

It looks like I'm going to have to try a cold reset to solve my recurring reboot problem, but I have these questions:

 

--Does cold reset put things back where they were when the Incredible arrived in the box, or does it erase everything and I have to download basic stuff from some web site?

 

--Does cold reset terminate my phone connection so I have to have it reauthorized, or whatever?

 

--I know I lose all personal data and downloaded applications but that isn't a concern because I have put very little of either on the phone so far.   Is there anything else I have to worry about?

i "believe" that it restores it to exactly how it came to you in the box. it shouldn't wipe anything that is necessary or that was on the phone when you got it. i also don't think it deactivates the phone. you should be fine since you understand you'll lose whatever you have done to the phone.
