Time changes when I sync with Outlook

When I sync with outlook it adds an hr to my outlook if I enter it in my phone and subtracts an hr when I enter it in outlook. What I mean is there is an hour difference between my outlook and my phone. If I enter 1p in my phone it shows 1p on my phone but 2p on outlook. If I enter 2p on outlook it shows as 1p on my phone. I just got a new phone because my old one crapped out and I didnt have this problem with my old one. What do I need to do to get them to sync the same times?

You may take a look at your time settings in outlook or on your computer. Also, make sure your time settings on your device are set to automatic sync with network by checking menu, settings, date and time.

Yea I already did that and I even called Verizon. The guy tried but even he didnt know what to do and he said the same thing I did, there are a lot of people that seem to have the same problem but no one seems to have an answer, not even Verizon. I had a Thunderbolt that completely locked up on me so they sent me this one as a replacement and I didnt have the problem with the last one so I am not sure why I have it with this one.

Having the correct time is absolutley important when it comes to syncing your phone with Outlook. I truly appreciate you taking the time to make this post and I will be delighted to provide some suggestions.

Thank you Lemew as well for your suggestion! Outlook syncing is considered third party so I don't have any direct access to information regarding this issue. I would highly recommend contacting HTC directly by dialing 866-449-8358.

A time zone difference is about the only thing that would consistently account for the change in time as you note.

If you have the phone set to pull time directly from the network, it "should" be putting you in the correct time zone, but check that to be absolutely certain. If it is set to Automatic, the rest of the settings will be greyed out, but you should still be able to see what time zone it is set to. If it is not the correct time zone shown, that would account for the problem.

Likewise, if for some reason your computer that is running Outlook got changed to the wrong time zone setting, then this behavior would be expected as well.

Far less likely, but still possible would be the server that Exchange is hosted on is set to the wrong time zone...but if that was the case, the Exchange admins there would have known about it within minutes from the phone calls from users, so this is probably about .0000001% chance.

So double check that the time zone is being shown correctly on the phone, and that the time zone is set right for the computer that Outlook is on.
