Battery Life

Is anyone else disappointed in the battery life of the GSIII? I have turned off everything the phone will let me and still the battery will not last for more than 8 hours. If I want to use it for anything other than a quick call or text I have to plug it in during the day so I can get home before it dies. Does anyone know if there is a fix for this other than buying a different phone?

No fix I know of now maybe the newer JB 4.2 will help the situation 8-10 hours is about what I get off mine. The RAZR Maxx would last much longer. The last phone I had only lasted about 10 -12 hours Droid X. Maybe you should look to a different phone with a larger battery?

I consistently get 18-30 hours out of my s3, with 5.5 hours of screen on time. Maybe you are in a poor reception area? I have only heard of the iphone 5 and galaxy nexus dying in 8 hours... Go to maps>settings>location settings> and uncheck report from this device, that should give you another couple of hours. The only other thing i can think is that your phone isn't getting a full charge due to a bad outlet or charger/battery. You are only getting have of the time i can get when i am using my phone hardcore.
