RAZR MAXX KEEPS FREEZING

Upgraded to ICS a while ago, with no issues. Recently, phone freezes at random times and only soft reset will unfreeze. It has frozen several times within a few minutes and has gone several hours between freezing. Got the standard run-around at the Verizon store that resulted in a hard reset. All I got out of that was an app-less phone with all my settings erased. Motorola support is almost as useless because all I get out of them is a repair order that results in me being phoneless for a week, and with no guaranty that the problem will be solved. Any ideas out there?

Have you tried clearing cache regularly? Has it reoccurred after the hard reset? May be a corrupt contacts or calendar database; you need to turn off sync and delete them from the device and allow them to repopulate from Google (assuming you use Google to maintain contacts and calendar). There are ways to back up your contacts, calendar and apps so that you can do a hard reset and not loose everything.
