BB 8830 Memory Card

Hi there,

 

I have an 8830 with a 4gb memory card.  When I go to options and memory card, the phone sees that I have the card in there as it says I have 3.6gb of free space.

 

However, the phone itself won't use / doesn't see that memory.  What I mean by that is my phone says I have only 500kb of space remaining to download new apps from the app store..it's like it isn't using the memory card at all.

 

How do I get it to use the memory card for space?

Hello.  Unfortunately you can not run apps off of the memory card just from the phones main memory.  The card can be used to store photo's, music, etc. but not applications that can be accessed by the device.  Newer models have increased on board memory of 256Mb, but the 8830's 64Mb is very limiting.
